Heat Wheel

Heat Wheel

The rotor matrix consists of hub, bearings, and foil. Alternating layers of flat and corrugated foil are used in the construction of rotor matrix to create a structure made up of small, triangular channels for laminar air flow. The rotors are either a piece or a sectorized. Sectorized rotors are segregated into segments which are assembled at the time of rotor installation. Diameters between 300–2450 mm are for One-piece rotors, whereas sectorized rotors has a diameter of 600–5000 mm. All rotors are made mechanically stable by internal spokes screwed into a hub & welded around the periphery. This design permits cleaning with steam, compressed air, hot water, and special cleaning agents. Temperature range -20°C to +70°C.

Our Rotors

Condensation Rotors

Condensation rotor is an economical solution to restore heat and is best suited in comfort ventilation for standard applications. Humidity is transferred only where the dew point of any one of the air streams is achieved.

Hygroscopic Rotors

The hydroscopic surface of this rotor class also supports the humidity transfer. Typically utilized for standard applications in comfort ventilation systems to recover humidity.

Sorption Rotor

The high-performance desiccant coatings of the sorption rotor HM1-O (molecular sieve 3Å) provides a maximum humidity transfer capacity for minimal Carry Over. There is no change in high humidity efficiency throughout all environmental conditions. Sorption rotors are specifically made for supply air dehumidification and summer season cooling recovery. Therefore, it should be used only in hot and humid climates, with dry cooling systems like chilled beams and when in wintertime humidifiers are used.
